I've done a lot of soul searching lately concerning my inability to knit or spin. My joints are not getting better and I have really now begun to associate these activities with pain.
So, what does this mean? It means that I am going to go ahead and just give it up. Not put it aside for a time when things might get better, but actually draw a line in the sand and say, "enough". Surrounding myself with knitting books and my wheel and my needles just makes me sad.
Now, if you're from around these parts, you might be aware that the group I run, Charitable Crafters, has a fundraising garage sale every spring. Normally, I would just save my stuff for this event and "donate" the profits.
Well, not this time...
This time, I have a mission. I have a goal.
I want to set this hobby down and pick up beekeeping.
So, I am going to list the books I have for sale as well as my wheel. Hopefully I can sell most of the things without having to go onto ebay.
Please check it out, let me know if you want something, and if you are from out of the area, I will ship it to you media mail. I don't plan on shipping my wheel though so you'd have to pick that up.

I also have a Louet S10 spinning wheel for $350 which is in great shape and comes with 3 large bobbins. You can literally spin for hours without changing the bobbin on this wheel. If you're interested, get in touch with me to arrange a time to check it out. I will not ship this wheel.
And on second thought, I believe I will throw in my Bernina Bernette sewing machine which is only 6 months old, in great condition, and is my "second" sewing machine which I seem to never use. Bought it for $249, I'll sell it for $150.
So, there it is for now. I'll put up my collection of knitting needles later...
