It is our tradition to burn one child alive at every solstice...

So what do you do when you live in Duluth, MN and it is December 21st and this is the only snow that is in your yard? Perhaps in your whole neighborhood?


You pull out your fire pit and put all of your remaining fire wood in it from the summer. The really dry fire wood.


And it's a really windy evening...



That look of terror? Bona Fide...
But nothing caught on fire, the book mark in my daughter's book only got singed, and a good time was had by all.
The days will only get longer from here 'til summer. Enjoy!
