I took a trip up the northshore yesterday to deliver retreat brochures to a yarn store. The cool (ha ha) thing about living next to Lake Superior is that it looks different every day. I always take the scenic route up the shore and the lake was giving off the spirits of the dead due to the frigid air temps. Now, I'm just throwing that whole "spirits of the dead" thing out there because I am attempting to start my own mythology. I love the native stories regarding the northern lights and when I see the whispy clouds coming off the lake, I can imagine the many souls that have been lost on the lake finally escaping. Either that, or its just a BORING meteorological phenomena.
