Radical Lace & Subversive Knitting
I will definately have to get the museum catalog for this exhibition. Anything that combines knitted lace and 3-D skulls has my attention.

One of the most frustrating parts of most mainstream art criticism when it comes to displays such as these are the comments about "grandma's knitting" and that it is merely craft not art. With a single dismissive wave of the hand, an artist that chooses to interpret their world through textiles is dismissed. I believe there is more being said in the photo below than initially meets the eye.
